Startup CPG

Whether you need a broker contact, a copywriter, information on regulation, help with ingredient sourcing,a partner for a giveaway, or some new CPG friends, Startup CPG is a one-stop shop. With a growing community on their Slack channel and in-person events, there is a ton of value to get from this free resource (sometimes it can be overwhelming because there are a lot of messages in there, we like logging on in the morning and at the end of day to stay in the loop).

Heritage Radio Network

Learn while you’re walking, or cooking, or packing orders-we love to multitask! All the podcasts from Heritage Radio are great, All in Sauce with Haven’s Kitchen founder Allison Cayne is on rotation for us, with great guests and in depth conversations we always take something meaningful away.

Foodbevy

Started by a CPG founder, this platform provides a ton for CPG founders. It’s filled with education, resources, community, industry discounts (cough cough like WeStock), and a directory of trusted partners to help growing CPG brands.

#OMGCPG

If you are looking for a smaller but still engaged digital community, this Facebook group is a great place to start. It’s not as overwhelming as some other groups with only ~2,000 members

Tastebase

Discovery platforms are all the rage these days, Tastebase highlights CPG brands that are reviewed by the community so you know they are actually good (how many of us have been duped by aesthetic packaging).

Food Business News

It may seem strange to include a news publication here but it’s for good reason. Staying up to date on the happenings in the CPG space can feel like a full time job in itself. FBN does a great job of pumping out information on all the big news and even has a newsletter that acts as a great digest of the big stories.

Food Biz Wiz

Alli’s course, free resources and podcast are behind many of the food brands you likely have on your inspiration list. She is a former grocer buyer and brings all her expertise (and her expert friends) to the table to give you a helping hand when it comes to wholesale and building your dream food business.

WeStock

Shameless plug, we’re here to help! We make it easy for you to grow your retail footprint, increase velocity, and engage more customers all in one place. You know how important data is, we help you capture that data so you can confidently reach out to buyers and say “500 people requested my product to be stocked in your store.” That’s a pretty powerful first impression. Set up a demo and let’s talk about how WeStock can help you grow.

While we can’t compile every amazing resource out there, these are a few of our favorites. We also recommend looking locally at groups for founders in your community or incubator kitchens, workshops and lectures in your city. There is so much out there created to make this road easier for you because we’re all in this together.
